Forest of the Maiden

Scenery: Light snowfall decorates the treetops of this isolated forest - small specs of light shiny every once in a while. A place that was once for relaxation has been transformed into a monsters' breeding ground - perfect for quick leveling up. It is said that once entered, a creature will sense and lure the trespasser with what is now called the Maiden's Symphony.
Mission:
Consists of multiple parts!

• Gather a party of at least five members.
  
• Gather remains of approximately five "unknown" breeds of monsters for research.
  
• Defeat the creature that "sings" the Maiden's Symphony.

Shivering, Ayumi treaded over the roots of the overgrown trees.

"Damn, I hate the cold..." she whispered to herself. It was now that she mentally berated herself for her idiocy. She didn't come with anyone and she was cold!

"My stupid fault for creating her with plain clothes..." she coldly reminded herself before walking further into the forest - her red hair flowing behind her.

[Kite of the Azure Flame]

Kite enters some random keywords into the chaos gate and appears at a freezing area. The snow falling around him made him slightly happy, but the cold air made him shiver.

Note to self, make Job Extend when I get it come with a shirt. At least this scarf will keep me somewhat warm.

Kite wonders into the forest and wraps the scarf around him the best he could. After a while of wondering, he sees someone up ahead. He quickly runs up to the person and sees the person as Ayumi and smiles

"Hey Ayumi! Hows it going?"

[Ayumi Ai]

Ayumi continues to rub her arms to warm herself up before hearing her name. Swiftly, she turns around before giving a bright and cheerful smile.

"Kite! It's been a while, hasn't it?"

[Kite of the Azure Flame]

"It has been, a great long while. You cold as well? Better then me who made their character without a shirt."

Kite chuckles and smiles at Ayumi. Taking a look around, he takes in all the surroundings, taking a note of everything around him.

"Anyways, what are you up to in this area?"

[Ayumi Ai]

Shivers a little - still trying to warm herself up. She shrugs.

"I just felt like pokin' around some more. My curiosity never dies, much to my dismay. And... that's how I came across this beautiful place."

She sighs.

"I just wished it wasn't so cold."

[Kite of the Azure Flame]

'Yeah, I wish it wasn't so cold either. You know..it's funny. We're in a game, yet we still feel cold. It's just funny to me."

Kite shivers from the cold and chuckles amusingly.

"So, seeing as the mission is to get a few party members, should we make a party and see if we can recruit a few more?"

[Ayumi Ai]

She blinks before chuckling.

"I guess it is slightly amusing...", she murmurs. Quickly she begins shivering again and wraps her cloak tightly around herself. "Creating a party would be nice right about now, yeah..."

[Kite of the Azure Flame]

"Alright, who do you want to be the leader though? And I hope we find some good monsters worth a fight here, I need the movement to warm up."

Kite starts to feel numb from the cold but still rubs his arms to try to get feeling back into them.

"Gah...I hate the cold with a passion."

[Ayumi Ai]

She paces in small circles to try and warm herself up.

"Well, I'm not much of a leader, so I guess you can be the leader for now."

[Kite of the Azure Flame]

"Alright, if you insist."

Kite invites Ayumi to be in his party and chuckles. He continues down the path slowly enough for Ayumi to catch up to him and shivers slightly from the freezing cold.

"So Ayumi, what have you been up to for the past few days?"

[Ayumi Ai]

She quickly accepts the invitation and runs to catch up with him - hoping it warms her up a little. She shivers and grits her teeth.

So much for that stupid plan...

She looks over to him and gives a weak smile. "Attending school events, doin' my job... more over, the usual. I don't really get time anymore to keep my grades up."

She pauses to warm her hands and to adjust her cloak. "But what about you, Kite?"

[Kite of the Azure Flame]

"Hmmm...same old same old. Being bored to death watching other people complain about their jobs. I'm out of school and run a small business."

Kite chuckles ask he walks on down the path.

Jeez it's freezing. Wonder what kind of monsters are here anyways.

[Ayumi Ai]

She blinks before looking back at him. "I work in a small business..." she whispers before looking forward and warming her hands again.


"I wonder... would it really be a challenge in this particular area?"

[Kite of the Azure Flame]

"I certainly hope so. I mean really, where's the fun if there isn't a challenge."

Kite started to have a slight uneasy feeling when he sees a shadow moving through the trees. He draws his Golden Blades and looks at Ayumi.

"Well, looks like the welcoming party is here. Shall we give them our warm welcome and get warmed up in the process?"

Out of nowhere, a monster jumps from a tree toward Kite with a ax ready to hit him. Kite blocks the ax with one of his blades and uses his foot to kick it to the ground. He then stabs the monster in the chest with his other sword. When he figures it to be dead, he takes the sword from the monster and examines it.

"Hmmm...it seems to be some undead type. Be careful Ayumi, these things seem aggressive."

The monster below Kite jumps up and tries to bite his arm but Kite stabs it through the eye with on of his swords, killing it instantly.

"And you have to apparently kill them through the head, challenging enough for you?"

[Ayumi Ai]

She chuckles whilst drawing Envy.

"About damned time they showed up too," she murmurs before rushing up towards another undead creature that appeared from his right. Eagerly, she plunges the blade through the head. She pulls her blade out and flicks it; keeping it ready for any more monsters.

"Maybe we should make this a lil' more challenging. A bet, if you will," she says to Kite with a tiny smirk.
