It seems that a lot of members have been confused as to what exactly this is. The Weapon Ability section in the Profile Template is where you tell exactly what it is customized to do that makes it different from any normal blade or bullet or staff. As is said in the template, you may start with one customization. However, as you gain levels, the amount of abilities you can have goes up. Exactly by how many hasn't been decided, but so far everyone has only got one.
At first you may use simple customizations, nothing too powerful. Here are a few examples of low-level (requires 1 slot out of 3) customizations:

Any cannon customizations not on that list are not yet available to beginners from now on. Those that had them before are exceptions to this rule. You can make up your own customization but it must be approved.

- Fire- Adds fire damage to ordinary attacks, enhances fire spells, and counters earth based attacks better.
- Water- Adds water damage to ordinary attacks, enhances water spells, and counters fire based attacks better.
- Wind- Adds wind damage to ordinary attacks, and enhances wind spells.
- Earth- Adds earth damage to ordinary attacks, enhances earth spells, and counters wind based attacks better.
- Poison- Adds poison damage to ordinary attacks, effective for longer battles, weaker in shorter battles.
~The following requires 2 out of 3 slots for weapon customization~ - Curse- a successful attack can cause your opponent's SP to drain. spell users: -3 casts for low power, -2 for medium, -1 for high. -2 Arts usage.
- Paralysis- Makes it difficult for your opponent to move.
- Wrath- 25% added chance of doing critical damage to opponent.
- Backstab- 100% chance to do critical damage when striking from the back.
