It's quite obvious that I'm going to say yes to the armour. I invented the system (and I was wondering if you got that mail). I think the system is fair and self explaintory. It runs on a rough number basis ( ie using fractions) so this means you'll need to be imaginative and fair when taking hits. Each armour also has downsides so it's not a case of (lets all grab armour and be invincible). I mean looking at the manga/anime you see people in armour, surely that has value, because more then likely they ere quest rewards and surely they can still be torn a new hole. I think this site should be as close to the real .//Hack as possible, I'm also working on itmes btw.

keep in mind though, if we remove the level system and remain truer to the anime and manga rather than the games, things like shooting where armor isnt present can be exploited XD

In the games armor meant nothing as far as if you were hurt. It should stay only as an aesthetic thing, because if we make it a realistic thing then anyclass wearing heavy armor may wear armor all over there body.
This makes all attacks pointless and thus Armor must stay aesthetic.

don't worry I counteracted the effectiveness of the armoru with it's weight. If you have heavy armour, you might as well stay still because you'll move so slowly the oppononet will be able to aim at you with the sae modifier as if you were standing still

Which is actaully labeled inside of a persons strengths or weakness. The armor should remain aesthetic and nothing more. The problem isn't poeple blocking, not blocking, or taking hits here. Honestly this just makes big hassle for no real reason. In the game no matter where your hit it's the same damage. the armor only lessens how much that damage does, not stops it.
If we want to go by game reality thats the type of thing I've seen so far. Least in my experience anyways.

Armour should cost money, ne? It would be unfair if it didn't. Demo, it would be better if we didn't have any armour. It's better off if we jsut got sheilds. Besides, Armours is kinda cheap. You could say in the RP, " But the huge explotion didn't get him because of his armourr". It would be better if we just stuck with sheilds.

If and when you do.make items what sould be done is that posts can count as money but that means you will have to make the post count per post higher, instead of leveling to gain abilities we can use posts to spend on abilities or perhaps new armorand items. I once moderated a few sites with this feature and it worked pretty good.

And there can be certain armors for certain classes, some has resistances to some things and others have strength against others (strength as in better defense) when you talk about aiming at a body part that is unguarded by armor, that's being too technical,if you play a game like kingdom .hearts or final fantasy you notice the armor may never change the appearance of the character, but the attributes for the armor still stand.

It just depends on the admins opinions. And if we did have a money system...we would need people to constantly reduce our post/money count everytime we bought something...and then even with shields you could say "but they put the shield in the way and were fine" besides, even the heavy armour can be broken, it's not like you're God

Your being too technical with it. If you have a shield and you use it,it won't block any attack, that's why you have to build class resistances and strengths..like rock paper scissors but with armor.
